FAQs

What is my ring size?

If you do not know your ring size, we highly recommend having your finger sized by a local jeweler and asking for your US ring size. If this is not possible, we are happy to send a ring sizer to you - just email us at customerservice@wwake.com! We cannot be responsible for determining your ring size as it is a personal preference but we will do our best to help guide you.

I don’t see my ring size online! What should I do?

We list our most popular sizes online but we offer inclusive sizing such as, larger sizes,  smaller sizes, and quarter sizes! To order a specialty size, simply select the closest size on the drop-down menu and then in the shopping cart box that says “Add special instructions for your order,” specify what size you’d like, and we’ll take it from there! Please note that specialty sizes are ineligible for return, exchange, or store credit, so we want to be sure it’s going to be a perfect fit!

Do you offer financing options?

Currently, all products are available for purchase through Affirm or Klarna.

What does "post-consumer diamonds" mean?

At WWAKE we source all our white diamonds from post-consumer sources. "Post-consumer" diamonds have previously been used in jewelry and eliminate the environmental impact of newly mined diamonds without any compromise to quality.

What does "GIA comparable" mean?

GIA comparable means that the diamond color and clarity grade are similar to what would be expected from a GIA grading. The majority of diamonds over half a carat are sold with a Gemological Institute of America certificate (GIA) stating the diamond's weight, color and clarity. Diamonds under a half carat in weight are generally bought and sold without certification. Diamonds sold by WWAKE without GIA certificates are the same quality diamonds (just smaller!) than ones that have the certification. Because of this we use language to describe the approximate color and clarity of those diamonds according to the alphabetical whiteness scale of the GIA to give a good indication of what the diamonds look like.

What is the difference between "Made to Order" vs. "Special Order"?

If an item is “made to order,” this means that we normally have it in stock but it is currently sold out. The item will be made for your order and will still be eligible for return, exchange, or store credit, provided it meets the criteria specified in our return policy.

If an item is a “special order,” this means that we do not normally have it in stock and it is a specialty item. The item will be ineligible for return, exchange, or store credit and is therefore final sale.

What is the difference between "Recycled" and "Fairmined" gold?

Recycled gold: Most of the WWAKE collection is made with recycled gold, which we view as a neutral impact material because no new mining is involved. This means that the gold is sourced from previously used objects (either jewelry, electronics, dental fillings, etc.) and then refined at a Certified Green Refinery to take out any impurities and re-alloy the gold into usable material for our jewelry! Of course, this doesn't affect the gold quality at all.

Fairmined Gold: A portion of our collection (mostly Bridal Styles) is made from Fairmined Gold, which we view as a positive impact source. The Fairmined label assures that the gold is sourced from Artisanal Small Scale Mines (ASM) that adhere to specific social and environmental standards. Once these mines have been guided through the certification process, they are guaranteed access to fair trading conditions and a premium to help pay for a variety of things depending on the community's needs. This premium can be used for health care, medical units, education, reforestation programs, safety equipment, community infrastructure, just to name a few.
