CAREERS

 CUSTOMER SERVICE & LOGISTICS ASSISTANT - FULL TIME

WWAKE is a contemporary jewelry brand located in Brooklyn, NY. We are a small and fast-growing company seeking a highly organized individual to join us and work through the holiday season. They will work closely with our Customer Service Specialist to answer basic customer inquiries and Logistics Coordinator to pack and ship orders.

Full-time (5 Days a Week/ 9AM - 5PM)

September 5 - December 29, 2023

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent brand experience, both written and in-person, for all customers through product knowledge, merchandise engagement, and informed advice.
  • Participation in general inventory management
  • Pick, Pack and Prepare orders for shipment
  • Receive & Check-in Made-to-order pieces from Production Team
  • Receive returned merchandise for returns, exchanges or repairs
  • Provide holistic support to team members at all time
  • Tracking and confirming receipt of all shipped goods
  • Ensure timely and efficient fulfillment process for online and wholesale orders

Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year experience in customer service or logistics role
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Positive, can-do attitude is a must
  • Experience with Shopify, ShipHero, Shipstation, Kustomer and Return Logic is a plus

FINE JEWELRY SPECIALIST - FULL TIME 

WWAKE is an award-winning fine jewelry brand based in Brooklyn, New York. Founded in 2013, our unique brand experience is rooted in transparent sourcing, communication, and local manufacturing. We believe our jewelry is the connection between you, the earth, and every hand.

We’re seeking a Fine Jewelry Specialist responsible for creating an emotional connection between our customers and the brand. They guide our clients through the fundamentals of fine jewelry to empower them to build a personalized jewelry wardrobe as unique as they are. In addition, they provide enthusiastic support for our brand and commit to driving a high volume of personal sales while delivering outstanding customer service and supporting fellow team members across all departments.

This position is accountable for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of WWAKE products, omnichannel sales techniques, and diamond knowledge. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities will include:

Sales:

  • Maintain a positive and warm shopping experience for our clients by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining courtesy and professionalism.
  • Address follow-up on inquiries with a sense of urgency across communication channels, including finding and proposing solutions as they arise
  • Deliver a 360 client experience, introducing multiple product categories and services to maximize sales through client relationships using the CRM Platform Kustomer
  • Demonstrates mastery of products and stones (diamonds, colored stones)
  • Master POS and sales administration tools using Shopify, including light data entry business, need to process client sales and repairs, prepare the showroom for appointments
  • Work cross-functionally with the Production Team on orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Works as a liaison between the Custom Sales team and the Fine Jewelry Sales Team
  • Perform quality assurance checks for outgoing orders and repairs to ensure order accuracy, including shipping and troubleshooting of shipments with carriers
  • Independently and proactively resolve client issues as they arise, partnering with management as needed
  • Maintain proactive communication with all clients while pieces are in production

Clientele: 

  • Capture customer information through various channels and actively develop a clientele, constantly adding information to promote atelier relationships and opportunities.
  • Follow HQ guidelines and strategy for maintaining contact information.
  • Initiate outreach to clients regarding new products and events and follow up on essential milestones
  • Cultivate and develop new client relationships through exceptional client care and brand CRM initiatives

Operational Support:

  • Daily set-up and breakdown of the boutique for opening and closing
  • Active participation in all merchandising, daily tasks and maintenance, and inventory activities including, but not limited to, case upkeep, back stock organization, product transfers, inventory counts, etc.
  • Maintain Sales Kit both physically and digitally through Monday.com
  • Timely delivery of all sales reports, paperwork, receipts, invoices, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of sales experience - jewelry experience is strongly preferred
  • Ability to work in person at our Greenpoint studio
  • Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays
  • Strong and goal-oriented sales skills - commission-based sales experience preferred
  • GIA certifications preferred
  • Team player who works amicably and effectively with dynamic staff members
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility to the needs of the business
  • Enthusiasm for ongoing and continuing education in gemology
  • Experience with CRM Systems, Adobe Photoshop, Google Suite, WMS systems, and Shopify is a plus
  • A love and appreciation for fine jewelry

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $50,000-$55,000 base salary plus commission
  • 50% contribution towards health care
  • 401k contribution with non-elective contribution once eligible
  • 30 days PTO, including holidays
  • $1000 jewelry allowance plus employee discount after allowance

CONTRACT BENCH JEWELER - FULL TIME

WWAKE is a contemporary jewelry brand located in Brooklyn, NY. We are a small and fast-growing company seeking a highly organized & skilled bench jeweler to join us immediately and work through the holiday season. He/she will work closely with our head bench jeweler and studio manager to produce in-house jewelry orders. We are looking for an individual who is sharp, confident, quick with their hands and great with people!

Responsibilities:

  • Basic bench jewelry production including cleaning castings, prepping stones and findings, assembly, soldering, polishing, etc.
  • Basic stone setting skills
  • Maintain a highly-organized, detail-oriented, and proactive routine
  • Deliver finished pieces with short turnaround time

Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year experience in jewelry production
  • Be flexible and open to doing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be an independent worker who is eager to take on responsibility with a personal sense of accountability
  • Excellent communication skills and follow-through, ability to work collaboratively with a small team a must
  • Provide support to team members at all times
  • Experience using a laser welder a plus!
  • Be flexible to increase hours during the holiday production period
